Crazy Lixx Biography (as of August 2010)
Crazy Lixx, a four piece Swedish hard rock band formed in 2002 by vocalist Danny Rexon, was one of the first bands to emerge from what later came to be known as the new wave of Swedish sleaze, along with bands such as Crashdïet, Vains of Jenna and Babylon Bombs. The band, although both musically and image-wise a lot less glam inspired than their other Swedish counterparts, attracted a large following in the underground sleaze rock movement in Sweden during the first half of the last decade and finally culminated in the release of the debut album Loud Minority (produced by Chris Laney) in the end of 2007, an album that upon release peaked at second place on the Swedish national hard rock / metal chart.
The tour that followed the release saw the departure of original guitarist and co-founder of the band, Vic Zino to the Swedish hard rock band Hardcore Superstar less than six months after the release of the debut album and the remaining members of Crazy Lixx found themselves looking for a new guitar player. In May of 2008 Andy Dawson was announced as the new guitarist and the band once again set out to tour in Europe.
In October 2009 the band returned to Polar Studios in Stockholm to record the follow-up to Loud Minority along with producer Chris Laney. The new album, entitled New Religion was finally completed by the end of 2009 and released in mid-march of 2010 and the band once again set out to tour with a new album.
The entire line-up of the band is:
Danny Rexon – Vocals Andy Dawson – Guitar Joél Cirera – Drums Loke Rivano – Bass Guitar
